Happening from 2-4 pm at the Ulster County Department of Health and Mental Health at 239 Golden Hill Lane, Kingston.  Please register in advance by emailing: mmh62@cornell.edu.  The meetings are Bi-monthly on the second Thursday and are open to the public.

Healthy Ulster Council is a key component of Ulster County’s Community Health Improvement Plan, as it relates to the New York State Department of Health’s Prevention Agenda.

The primary mission of the Healthy Ulster Council is to “connect the dots” between the multitude of organizations, sectors, programs and communities, in Ulster County, that are working to promote wellness and prevent illness. By building on existing strengths, leveraging resources and identifying potential synergies and funding sources, the Healthy Ulster Council works to enhance and improve health outcomes for all residents by creating an integrated system of chronic disease prevention.

Healthy Ulster Council activities and initiatives are designed to be broad enough to be inclusive of all stakeholders, new ideas and innovative approaches, while also being focused enough to achieve tangible and measurable results.

The Healthy Ulster County Network website is designed to bring all of the preventative health assets and resources, in Ulster County, together in one convenient and easy-to-access place. Individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations are offered free listings, which will allow them to feature products, services and events which advance the health and well-being of Ulster County residents.

To get an event posted for free on the Healthy Ulster County Network (HUCN) website, go to http://healthyulstercounty.net then click on Events tab then List your event.  Enter all of your information, and click the Submit button, Or go directly to http://healthyulstercounty.net/node/add/event   to fill out your information.
